Join the GENDERACTIONplus Mobilisation Network

Gender equality, diversity, and inclusion in research and innovation are under increasing pressure – from anti-gender movements and attacks on academic freedom, to the potential weakening of core EU policy achievements such as the Gender Equality Plan eligibility criterion in Horizon Europe. At the same time, key strategies and laws are being developed or revised, including the ERA Act and the next Framework Programme (FP10).
We know that research is not neutral. If we want EU policies to reflect the realities of all groups of researchers and ensure that structural inequalities are addressed, we need to be present in policy spaces, which requires organisation.
The GENDERACTIONplus Mobilisation Network is a space to do just that.
This network brings together researchers, gender equality practitioners, civil society, policymakers, research funders, and others committed to safeguarding and advancing inclusive gender equality in the European Research Area. It serves as a platform to:
- Share timely policy updates, especially on the current Horizon Europe programme and the development of its successor
- Coordinate responses to public consultations
- Provide resources for advocacy and collective action
- Promote members’ work and foster connection
- Act together when rights-based approaches are at risk
What you can expect as a member:
- Occasional emails, including (but not limited to) key policy updates, member highlights, and draft feedback materials. The frequency depends on when relevant information or action opportunities arise.
- Opportunities to contribute to EU consultations and advocacy actions
- A space to share your own initiatives, events, and concerns with like-minded actors
- Access to a members-only Google Drive with supporting materials
Why join?
Because together, we are stronger. This network is here to connect the many people across Europe working to make research and innovation more inclusive, and to help turn that collective expertise into action.
